Trauma changes how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. It isn’t only about what happened — it’s about how the experience continues to live in our bodies and minds. Many people believe that time alone heals trauma, but in reality, unprocessed pain can linger quietly, affecting relationships, emotions, and even physical health.
Trauma can stem from many experiences — childhood neglect, abuse, loss, or even subtle emotional wounds that went unnoticed. The body holds these memories, often through tension, insomnia, anxiety, or feelings of numbness. This is where somatic therapy plays a vital role. It helps you reconnect with your body, release stored tension, and restore a sense of safety within yourself.
In my practice, I integrate Somatic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients understand their body’s signals and thought patterns. Together, we identify triggers, process emotions safely, and build resilience step by step. Healing from trauma isn’t about erasing the past — it’s about learning to live beyond it, to feel safe again in your own skin, and to rediscover trust, joy, and connection.
Healing is a journey, not a race. With the right guidance, compassion, and patience, even the deepest scars can become reminders of strength and survival.
