Frequently Asked Questions

Psychotherapy is a collaborative, therapeutic process that helps individuals address emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. It can assist in managing stress, coping with life transitions, and improving overall well-being.

If you’re experiencing persistent emotional distress, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns that interfere with your daily life, psychotherapy can be beneficial. A qualified therapist can help determine if it’s appropriate for you.

I’m trained in various therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma Informed Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). The type of therapy recommended will depend on your unique needs.

Therapy sessions typically last 45-50 minutes, although some sessions, such as intake assessments, may be longer. The frequency and duration of sessions will be determined in first free consultation call.

Absolutely, therapy with me is completely confidential. I’m bound by professional ethics and legal standards to protect your privacy and keep everything we discuss secure. There are only a few exceptions—such as if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others—and I’ll explain those clearly during our first session.

My therapy fees are standard how ever in exceptional cases there is a sliding scale rule.

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and any goals you have in mind. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background and needs, and you’ll have the chance to ask me anything as well. It’s an open space for you to see if you feel comfortable and supported working with me.

The length of therapy really depends on your personal goals and what you’d like to work on. Some people find short-term therapy helpful for specific concerns, while others prefer ongoing sessions for deeper exploration and growth. We’ll discuss your needs together and decide on a pace and duration that feel right for you.

There’s no specific preparation required. However, it can be helpful to think about your goals and what you hope to achieve through therapy. You can also jot down any questions or concerns you want to discuss in your first session.

In – person sessions are conducted at DHA Phase 5 and online sessions are done on Google meet.
